so far, I've enjoyed the world-building and the characters the most.Two years after her father is killed in a car accident, Emily moves with her mother and younger brother Navin to a faraway family home, once owned by her great-grandfather who disappeared decades ago. It's fun though! It maybe not bring anything new, other than being a YA graphic novel, but it's quick paced and mysterious and enjoyable. more w in some anthropomorphic animals and steampunk for good measure. It's definitely a pastiche of a lot of fantasy before it- remnants of LotR, some Zelda, little bit of Narnia at the beginning, a hero with a destiny on a quest to save the world.
